Inside Yosemite

Tuolomne Meadows
She was trying her very hardest to stay offended!

Our campsite, AKA- ShangriLa

We had a lovely little creek running next to us

We slept in the big tent and had Mia's toys and books in the green one, so she had an escape from the bugs...and the adults :)

The camper before us was very hard core-- he left his lean-to, his boots and a shirt to prove it!

The land where this old homestead sits is for sale, and I WANT IT!

Taking a look at O'Shaughnessy Dam and Hetch Hetchy Reservoir

The very cool breeze coming up from the bottom was quite strong!

Mia was very excited to see a real cowboy!

Tired little bird

She helped Daddy gather and stack firewood

Welcome to Nevada...the strangest place...

Nevada was a long drive on very straight roads with very little as far as scenery! Once we got onto the Extraterrestrial Highway we saw a few odd things, but mostly I read a book to Gary as he drove.

Joshua Tree

King of the Road!

There were some very aggressive biting flies, though I don't know how they survived in that heat.

Finally made it into California

We found a flat spot by a lake, set up our tent and played in the dirt.

Such a lovely place to wake up!

I think I've figure out that he's a Yellow Headed Blackbird. Gary worked very hard to get a good picture of him! He and his buddies chatted very loudly!

There was a very scenic overlook just outside of Yosemite

A Snowman in June!

Entering Yosemite, where we ended up buying a year pass that would get us into all federal parks. By the end of the trip we had already made some of our money back!
